Mission Statement 
The  Wardsboro Public Library provides the best possible access to books and other library resources in a variety of formats and technologies for the enjoyment and enlightenment of its patrons.

The library also encourages and facilitates cultural activities for the community, educates the community about the library’s resources, and upholds the public’s freedom of access  to information.

All area residents of all ages will have a safe, neutral, inviting gathering place for conversation, reading, meetings and programs.

CONNECT  TO THE ONLINE WORLD

The Wardsboro Public Library will connect to the online world ; patrons of all ages will feel comfortable using computers and new technology

LIFELONG LEARNING

The Wardsboro Public Library will provide lifelong learning for all patrons.The library will foster learning for children of all ages through the following:

Online Classes with Vermont Libraries Universal Class for CEU Certificates - Click here to learn how to register  

Partnership with Wardsboro Elementary School (WES) and L&G High School by providing resources for research,  bring drama and music programs to the library, explore the idea of regular WES classroom visits to the library, continue book club with upper grades at WES, explore museum trips.

Purchase music CDs and cases. 

Establish a regular program for story hour. 

Train staff and volunteers to work with children.

The library will foster learning for adults of all ages through the following:

Explore the need for workshops for local businesses, promote job-related and business-related databases from the Vermont Online Library.

Explore career workshops and obtain names of instructors.

Explore interest in adult art classes.

Continue book club for adults.

Continue museum field trips.

Explore interest in learning a foreign language and develop plans for classes.

      

The goals were developed by a cross section of Wardsboro and Stratton community members.
