Wardsboro Public Library Facts
Wardsboro Public Library receives financial backing for staff salaries through taxpayer support.
In order to purchase books, materials, supplies and programs, the library must raise funds through the Annual Fund and various fund-raising events.  These events include the Variety Show in March,  Bake Sale on Memorial Day weekend, and July 4th Book Sale.

These fund-raisers bridge the gap between tax-payer funding and the full cost of providing quality services. Please consider an annual gift, and  see our donation form on our Home Page (click here).

The Wardsboro Public Library is housed in the Gloria Danforth memorial Building, made possible by the generous gift of Dana Danforth and named in honor of his wife.  The Friends of the Wardsboro Library transformed the 1840's farmhouse into a working library in 2001 and continue to maintain, remodel, and improve the building.  The attached barn is currently being remodeled to provide a young adult room for the library, a meeting room, and a place to display the work of local artists, to hold small classes and to meet other community needs.
