Trustees are elected at annual Town Meeting, first Tuesday in March. Vacant seats may be appointed.

Announcement: Starting in February 2021, meetings will be held monthly on the third Mondays. Open Public Meetings.

The Wardsboro Public Library is looking for a Part Time Librarian Assistant. 

Do you love libraries? Are you a friendly, outgoing, people-person who is looking to nurture your community? If so, this job may be for you!

The daily tasks of the Librarian Assistant will include but not be limited to:

Checking in and out of books

Processing new books into the collection

Assisting patrons with reference and locating library resources

Issuing new library cards

Working with and training volunteers

Answering phones and greeting patrons in a cheerful manner


Library Assistant Requirements:

  • High school diploma.

  • Some experience in a customer service role.

  • Basic computer literacy.

  • Outstanding organizational skills.

  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving ability.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to work a 5 hour shift on Saturdays and flexibility for potential for more hours if needed.

  • A love for reading, learning and people of all ages.
